Natural salt is endowed by nature with valuable minerals and is beneficial to the body. Table salt, on the other hand, has been stripped of its essential trace minerals then bleached and treated with additives. Natural salt is absolutely beneficial for a wide variety of health conditions (see a few examples listed above). Contrary to what many believe, the organic form of salt supports blood pressure versus doing damage. Natural salt can be mixed with pure water and used as a nasal wash or sore throat gargle. It can be added to a glass of filtered water(just a pinch) before meals to stimulate hydrochloric acid production and aid digestion. A pinch of natural salt followed by a glass of water can also be helpful for asthma. Natural salt can also be used in the bath with epsom salts for detoxifying and relaxation purposes.
My family’s salt of choice is Redmond’s Real Salt. It’s readily accessible, and you can use it to cook or for any of the above stated purposes (plus some).
If you want a more economically feasible purchase, my parents and I split this larger bag of salt and we only have to buy a couple times a year.
